  We are very easy to find, only minutes from the M20 and M2 - yet surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Here at Little Dane we offer bed and breakfast, with the warmest of welcomes, in a setting of informal luxury.   Enjoy the history and character of our home, which is nearly two hundred years old, whilst enjoying every modern comfort.  Our aim is to make your stay as relaxing and memorable as possible.

Our location is idyllic both in terms of convenience and scenery. We lie in the heart of the ancient Parish of Thurnham , five minutes walk away from the famous Pilgrim's Way in the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty yet close to the bustling town of Maidstone , the county town of Kent.

A few minutes drive down the hill is the village of Bearsted with its historic Village Green and picturesque pond, surrounded by typical Kentish timber framed cottages and oast houses. Sunday afternoon cricket is still played on the Green in summer time and Alfred Mynn the ‘Lion of Kent' who pioneered overarm bowling in Victorian times was a regular player there.

Opposite Little Dane is open farmland as far as the eye can see and just the other side of our walled garden sits the parish church of St Mary the Virgin - as it has done for over a thousand years. Alfred Mynn is laid to rest there in a truly tranquil setting.
